Polishing Exhaust Tips

Just curious if anyone here has tried Blackfire and not been satisfied with the application process and/or results.

Most people are extremely happy with Blackfire. Do a search on it. There are many posts with people claiming it is an excellent product.

Actually I did do a search and didn't see much negative. I recommended it to a friend in my office and thought I'd throw out a quick thread before he orders. I'm still a Klasse user but he didn't like the wait time on the SG.

Blackfire has several great attributes

1. Very easy to apply and buff off.

2. Fast curing times.

3. Great looking results, rivaling klasse or zaino.



However the downsides are,

1. Loss of shine and slickness after one wash.

2. Since new product, no real experience on durabilty.



I personally enjoy working with bf, but the question of durability will have to be found out with experience. Alot of us are using bf so i'm sure we'll keep posting on here on our experiences.



I chose to use blackfire just to try something different. This spring i'm going to be experimenting on using blackfire and klasse together.

Aplication is much easier than klasse, removal was easier, or about the same at times. Shine is much better than klasse, and holds up fairly well. Slickness is lost after about two washes though, but othgerwise its a great product.

Please read my semi-review at the post above. I pretty much agree with everyone's review on BF.

I have 4 coats of BFPP and completely agree with above statements! While there are others seem to have better results.

What do yo u guys like to use to polish your exhaust tips?

I have been using P21S Polishing Soap, and finish it off with #0000 steel woll.

I spray the ones I do with APC and let it dwell. Then come behind, with 0000 followed by Xtreeme metal polish :wizard:

Mothers powerball with m105, 0000 steel wool, meg hot shine chrome polish or dg 501

0000 steel wool with any sort of polish will work. Just don't rub too hard of chromed tips and rub with the grain on Stainless steel tips. Again, take your time and go easy on the rubbing. Once you mar chrome you can't go back.

This is what I use as well. The only thing I've tried other then Nevrdull.

I have tried P21S polishing soap and its ok for some, but my for sure is Wenol and 0000 steel wool, follow with polish with good cotton towel.

That's what I use, too.
