Polishing and Glaze questions?

Well sometime late this summer I'm gonna repolish my car, I had a few questions.

1)When you guys polish your cars do you usually just use a light polish if you don't have any paint defects?

Normally my car is pretty defect free I try and spot touch up when neccesary so when it comes those couple times a year I really just have to get rid of micromarring/finescratches and maybe a few if any swirl marks.

2)Would Menzerna Final polish handle this or P21S paint cleansing lotion? Can P21S be applied by PC?

Next time I polish I want to try a glaze to see if I like what they do, I was looking at Menzernas new glaze. These are the products I'm considering or have at my disposal AIO, SG, Zaino, S100, and I'm thinking about giving Menzerna FMJ a shot maybe.

3)If I use M's glaze and then AIO I would be defeating the purpose of the glaze wouldn't I?

4)So what about using a glaze then Klasse's sealant, and after awhile topping it with a wax?

5) Would the glaze affect the bonding process of the Klasse, it says its water based?

I mainly want to find a glaze, sealant, wax system, so any reccomendations are appreciated! Thanks:)

I only use polishes to remove marring. Swirls, scratches, etc., if you have them, polish them out. If you DON'T have anything like this, then use something basically nonabrasive.

They'll work by PC but are too mild to remove any significant marring. They WON'T remove swirls, for instance.

Yes, AIO will clean off the stuff the glaze leaves behind. BTW, if you polish thoroughly, there won't be much need for a glaze.

The glaze will compromise the bonding of the SG, the two are incompatible.

See #4, above. Choose a glaze/wax sytem or the Klasse twins, but not both.

i'm willing to bet your car isn't imperfection free. i would go ahead w/ a very very mild abrasive such as 1z Machine Polish. follwed up w/ 1z Glanz wax for a sealant (this stuff is like armor). followed up by Meg's #16 (gonna try it next week but i'm sure it looks great) or s100 as a carnuba wax for depth.

whatcha think about the #16 in there, accumulator?

I REALLY like the look of the menzerna glaze, gives a really nice wet, deep look to the paint. I would suggest trying it if you are not going the Klasse route. VM also produces a really nice wet look but IMHO the menzerna glaze adds just a little bit more to the paint. heres a shot with the menzerna glaze and P21s as a topper.
