Eureka, Mates, Eureka!!!!
Me, my 65 year old body and a kidney stone that gets aggravated when doing repeated bending and stooping, enjoyed major success today, cleaning the exhaust "tars," etc., from aforementioned tips.
These tips look like the mid to late 90'S tips on V8 Camaros and Firechickens. I have them on my 93 Silverado.
The blackened edges were driving me nutz, I came over here and researched what you'se guys do and thought I'd try one MORE method, to wit:
I sprayed a tad of Easy Off Oven Cleaner on a piece of MF and applied to a small spot, to see if it would work and, if it didnt, wouldn't make any bad spots on the finish.
I am happy to say that those "tars," whatever else deposited on my tips were gonzo, in a matter of seconds.
Works for me! If a pic is needed, let me know, I'll be happy to post one.
