Polish / Wax application question

What do you use for applying polish (3M SMR)? I have recently purchased a polisher (unfornately not the PC as I hadn't found this place yet ). I was thinking of picking up a Meguiar's W7000 for the polish. Is hand application sufficient for 3M SMR?

What do you use as a wax applicator for Klasse/Zaino?

Lastly, from reading the posts here, I should probably go ahead and use a MT to remove the polish and wax (separate towels) and also for FI touch-ups.

Thanks for any suggestions,

Paco

For applying Klasse AIO and SG, I use a MF applicator. You can't find these in the stores, you'll have to order from one of the online detailing sites. Others use a foam applicator for the Klasse. I tried one of the big spongy foam applicators from Auto Zone, but personally didn't like it (pores were too big) so I wouldn't recommend it. The online sites sell finer round foam applicators, so maybe this is what other people are using.

I'm interested in other replies to your post, because I'm wondering the same thing about the SMR -- I have a 9" Waxmaster (no flames please!) and plan on using some 3M SMR this spring...

I like to use a foam pad when using SMR. I also like foam for klasse as it has a thin consistancy. For zaino, I use the cotton applicators that come with the order. I like them alot although some use foam and have good results with them too.

some people use MT for removing, but in my opinion, you would go through a lot of them. I prefer LARGE bath towels for product removal, and turning frequenly is good practice so you don't rub residue on residue, especially with abrasive products like AIO. This also could be why some people have smearing problems and hazing. USE LARGE towels and you can't go wrong.

Detailking, are you talkin' hand application or PC here? Just curious...

Foam for pretty much everything. For beater cars or cars not in really great shape, I'll use terry pads for the polishes.
