Hello everyone
I don't post here much as I spend most of my time moderating on Swedespeed. Was hoping to get some help here as most of them Volvo boys think you can wash your car with a single bucket and terry cloth
Soon my Volvo S60R will come out of storage and needs a good polish. I need a polish and pad that can cut through the Glosscoat fast and get the best shine I can get. Currently has some marring and swirls all over. Was polished and coated a year ago.
I have a bunch of new LC Hybrid pads: 3 orange (heavy cutting), 2 black (finishing) and one gold (ultra-polishing). I will be using them on my Flex 3401. I have a little bit of Menzerna fg400 and 3000 polish, but not enough to do my car. I would like to invest in 3D polishes instead.
I was thinking about cutting through with HD Adapt on the orange pad, then hopefully getting the most shine possible with HD Polish and black pads. But not sure how well that will work, I understand outcomes will differ.
I've polished clean paint just fine with some Meguiars stuff but never attempted to go through sealant.
But could anyone recommend a good polish and pad combo to cut through the Glosscoat fast and polish to a high shine with a second pass? I have a b-day discount code for Autopia for a week so you guys will build my shopping list.
Thanks!
