last night i was playing around on my right front fender of my redfire mustang gt. i was using obsessive detail light polish on PC via white LC pad - speed 6. it was night time and i had the halogens behind me. i put 1 piece of painter's tape in the middle of the section i was working on, like a 50/50 but working on both sides, after polishing and removing the polish and tape i noticed there was a real nasty film left behind. i tried a couple wipe dows with IPA 50/50, but it was real stubborn to remove, any ideas?

Maybe u can try using a paint cleaner (eg. Megs DC1) to remove those polish residue films. I encounter this too while using IPA 50/50 to wipe off polish. Sometimes if the polish oil not remove entirely and to use IPA will kinda like reactivate the oil and makes it greasy & stubborn to wipe off. Hope it helps...
