Polish an iPhone front screen?

Anyone ever attempt to polish an iphone screen? I just got a little scratch on the screen. I was wondering if some nano polish or p85rd and my flex would do the job.

I think that it is a special glass by Corning, called Gorilla Glass and it's tough stuff.

Not sure how one would go about doing a correction of such.

I believe the only thing that will polish glass is cerium dioxide. You will need a special glass polish, but it would probably be easier to put a piece of paint protection film over the glass, and the adhesive will likely cover the scratch if it's light enough.

I wouldn't, you'll likely remove the oleophobic coating. And if you've never polished glass before, you're in for a fun task. I'd just leave it or get a replacement screen, they are pretty inexpensive.

What kind of iPhone? 3G/3GS's are very easy to replace the screens

I've machine polished other mobile phone screens but their not glass however.

the little metabo sxe 400 80mm polisher is a beauty with microfibre or rayon pad from flexipads uk for doing conventional phone screens

the rayon pad is a glass polishing pad that may be perfect with some cerium oxide polish on

Flexipads - European Manufacturer - Engineering, Automotive and Car Detailing Consumables

Want to prevent scratches? Next car you detail use Opti Seal for LSP. After your done with the last panel wipe both sides of the phone down with the applicator. Put the phone on its side and allow to dry maybe 5 minutes and viola. Been doing that for years and my phone looks nearly brand new and I keep it in my pocket without any protector.
