Poli-Seal.......Work in time

Used poli seal the other day and was impressed with the finish IE slickness/shine but for me it did not correct much. I know it is a AIO but it just melted into the paint to quickly to effectivly remove and haze from my OC passes. I put on about as much as I do with my polish and within seconds it was gone. i am not sure if I am suppose to use more than normal but I can tell ya I would have to load up the pad alot to have any work in time. one thing i did do is I did not remove the left over residue after applying, I waited till the i finished one side then sprayed 425 and removed and the shine was wax like.

One question i am having a problem removing scratches from vehicles, i just did a 2004 Denali and the car was a mess i washed (3) times then clayed then hit it with OC/orange LC pad and it did remove most of the blemishes and paint transfer but under the halogens there were all fine scratches in the paint. I did two passes with oc slow and steady on pc at 6 and they just would not go away. is the OP with a white pad suppose to remove that or should i hit it with OC till they are gone?

How long do u guys work in OC 5 minutes,7 minutes or even 10 minutes??

thanx

You might have to go to something more aggressive than OC. :nixweiss

Use more Poli-Seal than you would OC or OP, I tend to use about 1/4 oz per vehicle when just applying it for protection and about 1/2 oz per vehicle to correct.

for cars that are trashed, my first polish is usually OHC on a orange pad, or yellow from lake country...then if the paint is hard enough, sometimes go straight to OP on a white polishing pad....otherwise, its OHC/orange, OC/orange, OP/blue, sealant

Ok sounds good, I will have to get a bottle of ohc.

I used a yellow pade but I have to say had better results with a used orange pad than a brandnew yellow pad

Is the denali CC very hard on average?

I agree with Toyotaguy. Start out with the OHC and an orange lc pad and go from there. Most of the time that works for me. I did a black Denali a few weeks ago that was pretty bad. Started out with the OC and an orange LC pad and it didn't hardly do anything. So I moved up to OHC with the Hitachi and it made a huge difference. The OHC works good with a PC but works so much better with a rotary.

Diesel I would try the op with the white pad just to see what it does for those fine scratches

did you get to work on the denali today? I wanted to do my car but it never dried up outside

i did use it with a ehite pad and for me it didnt put a dent in it.

Yeah i did the denali, alot of work

we should meet up this week, I have a couple of days off

Anyone else have a hard time wiping off the Optimum Compound? I worked it in for a minute or two and it was insanely tough to wipe off, so much so that I buffed off as much as I could and let the Optimum Polish / white pad to take the rest off.

Pretty much with any product, if it is hard to remove, than you used too much or didn't work it long enough.

I apply PS via rotary and waffle polishing pad at 1100 RPM. I spread a 6-7 inch line of PS on each panel to be polished. I get a pretty good working time of nearly a minute. Once I am done polishing there is almost zero residue to wipe off.
