Poli-Seal question

Has anyone experienced issues with poli-seal never really curing on the surface?

I used it on two black cars this past weekend and on both when I went to remove the polish it left smears where I was effectively moving around uncured product on the surface and it wouldn't copmletely wipe off without a QD spray to clean it up.

In the second instant I let the product sit on a black car in the sun for nearly 30 minutes before removing and still had the same issue.

I like the product well enough and don't think that I'm applying to much. Just trying to verify if this is a trait of Poli-Seal or if I'm doing something wrong.

You use poli-seal like any other polish. Apply a small amount to the pad, polish a section of paint until PS melts into the paint. Buff off residue. You shouldn't be letting it sit. I prefer to mist with OCW before buffing off the PS residue.

Are you confusing Opti-seal with Poli-seal?

OS - concetrated spray sealant. It is clear

PS - AIO product. It cleans, polishes and protects. It is cream colored.

It does sound like you are using too much product. You really should not have much residue at all left after applying the product.

How are you applying the Poli-seal, by hand or machine?

Sounds like you are applying it like a sealant. But, its meant to be worked in like a polish, like Wetwerks mentioned.

I'm using 1 - 1.5 oz per car at most. Applied with PC / White LC pad / Speed 6 and worked like a polish.

I'm sure it's Poli-seal.

I'm gonna try to use even less and see if that helps.

It should melt right into the paint. Buff off each section immediately, do not let it sit, especially in the sun on a black car.

I'm kinda heavy handed with product too, get too much Poliseal on a pad using a rotary and you'll make a gummy mess - once! Then, you're educated!

When using PoliSeal I find it almost hard to tell if there is any on the paint. What I'm doing now is working it in and then moving to the next panel. I dont remove it until I am done with the whole car. I like to let it sit on the car for a little bit like a regular sealant. Even doing this, I have had no problems with removal.

I do the same thing.
