PO85RD - Work Time/Priming

I've removed most of the swirls on my vehicle with the 105/205 combo. I wanted to try and "amp" it up a bit with Menzerna PO85RD. Because of the 105/205 short work time, I think I've gotten spoiled and might not work the PO85RD long enough so that I get the full benefit of the product. How long a work time would Need for PO85RD for say an 18 x 18 section?

I know the best bet is basically work the product until it's translucent but about how long would that be? I'll be using a PC and a LC black pad.

Also, what do you guys recommend in terms of priming pad with PO85RD? Should I prime the pad with product (similar to the KBM) or just hit the pad with a little quick detailing spray prior to polishing??

Thanks!

NO, prime the pad with a circle so that the product is use throughout the pad

put a circle around the outer 3/4 of the pad

take fingers and spread the product across the pad in a = (back and forth, not circular motion)

apply product to panel from pad in a cross hatching motion, up and down, right to left

work in product at speed 6

wipe off and check results are what you want! if not, re-think your previous polish step and either go about that step, or re-apply the 85rd

oh and working time will be about 2-3min per application as a black pad is pretty mild and the PC doesnt generate enough heat to aid in the break down of about a min like the rotary!

I generally work a product until I dont see any results from more passes....no additional gloss, no more defect removal, no clarity increased = product is done working!
