Well, I just picked up a new Corvette, and when the dealership detailed my car they left behind swirl marks on every single panel. :(

On my previous car my process for detailing was as follows:

Dawn soap

Menzerna intensive

Menzerna Finish polish

Klasse AIO

Klasse SG

Blitz Carnuba

My question is this, can I do this routine on a car so new? I just want to get these swirl marks out until I have a full weekend to do a real good detailing on the car, what the best thing to do? Can I do a coat of AIO to get out the swirls until next weekend, when I can do everything?

I have a local show tomorrow and I just want to make sure the car looks good, when I have time next weekend I will do the whole process.. Oh the car is a dark blue (lemans blue to be specific)

Thanks..

John

I wouldnt think that just AIO would take out the swirls. Your full process looks pretty good. You could try out Menzerna FP first to see if that takes out the swirls. If it doesnt, then move up to Intensive and then move through the rest of the line. Try out the least aggressive method first.

I dont think you need the Dawn wash. It has been discussed many times before, so I wont talk much about it now, but consider not using it at all.

Hope this helps :D

Can I just do a layer of the FP for this weekend then next weekend do a full makeover? Only reason I ask is because Im heading to a little show tomorrow and I don't want to go there with all these swirl marks on the car, its really eating me up inside.. :(

Im not sure where the other thread is.... (okay, I didnt look)... but

yes you can do use FP and then any wax you want. Dont forget the wax :) So that would be two steps which would work out really well.
