Please help me finalize my list of products

First let me say that this is a great site as I had no Idea that detailing is a black art of sorts. :shocked

I did a search here for what products come highly recommended for the kind of look I want to achieve this time around. I have detailed in the past using off the shelf products like Meguiar's and Mothers then move up to mail order stuff when a friend bought me a Griots Garage sampler kit. I have been currently using Zanioâ€â„¢s products and liked their stuff when I had my white Stealth but now I own a used black MR2 Spyder that has many superficial swirls which I didnâ€â„¢t remove last year but applied the Z5 and Z2 combination with great results but its missing the warmth and depth of carnauba.

I just need some last minute suggestions before I order. Please keep in mind that I have the basics as far as Clay bars, random orbital polisher and MF applicators and towels.

This is my plan of action:

1.Menzema âہ“Get Acquainted kitâ€Â which includes the 6oz of IP and 6oz of FP with MF applicator pads and MF buffing cloths.

2. Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint sealant

3. Toped off with left over Griots Garage Best of Show Carnauba wax

I also plan to purchase a Big Blue II WW

I plan to purchase these Items form premiumautocare and if there is a discount code that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

:welcome to Autopia.

Your list looks good.

Not sure what kind of tools and experience you have but if you intend to work by hand I would suggest either Poorboy's or 1Z polishes.

I'm sure many people will respond with their favorites but if this is what you want to try then go for it.

I got the same Menz kit and the applicator pad and MFs it comes with are great. You should be set with that setup.

Let us know how it turns out!!!

I would say the Z2 you tried was the old version I have found pro to be deeper and wetter, it is an upgrade for sure. I would also say that you would have to remove swirls before using Zaino, it has no hiding abilty. Menzerna are great products but you need a machine with them for good results, rotary prefered. Wolfgang is a good sealant that is very easy to use, cant go wrong there. You can buy a gallon at autogeek for 59 bucks. Think about it, 16 oz for 20 bucks or a gallon for a little more than twice that. You can share with your buddies or sell some, and get a free handbook.

Thanks guys :) Its nice to know that the power of the search engine has helped me chose wisely.

The reason I wouldnâ€â„¢t want to try Z2 pro is mainly because I don't like the fact that I have to invest in another ZFX purchase.

Donâ€â„¢t get me wrong I like Zaino's for its durability but I would like to try something different and at the same time permanently eliminate the swirl marks rather then filling them in with Z5 which I found doesn't last as long as I would like.

I can tell you from personal experience that Zaino's clay and car wash did not live up to my expectations compared to Griots.

Anyway the combination that I am choosing will save me money on shipping rather then buying from two places. Thanks for the 10% off code.

Here are two pictures of my car with Z5 and Z2.
