Player got played..

Well I thought I would wash my car today without the DI-water and worse yet in the sun. Two things I try never to do as the water here has so much cholrine in it when you get out of the shower it smells like you were at the pool and we all know the hazards of washing a car in the sun.

I washed and rinsed each panel at a time but to no avail, by the time I started drying the car the dreaded water/soap spots were all over the car (Black Paint no less), I mean big time. Fvck me.

I had to use this Polymer Sealant (which I rather like and is only locally available - Body shop /Clear Coat safe, Deep Cleaning Action) to get them off by hand.

The Sealant goes on and off pretty easy enough so I skipped running out to the garage for my PC. But I did have to spend an extra hour or so doing something that I was not planning on doing.

I'm glad it worked cause I don't have enough gas in the beater to drive into work tommorrow and Pay Day is Friday.

Well the moral of this story is cutting corners to save time may burn you big time. Or said another way, A player can always get played.

Tried some Meg's QD first but it didn't do any good. I ran out of sun light so I'm hoping I got them all cleaned up.

I'll back the car out of the garage and check again before going to work in the morning, if some are still there I'll leave it in the garage and scronge up some $$ to put a little bit of gas in the beater.

That will give me the rest of the week to polish the panels out without letting the spots bake into the finish. Hi-Temps HCL usually does the job on this type of marring.

I wanted to wait until November before polishing and sealing the paint for the winter. Oh well
