Plastic chrome

The door handles and trim on my mom's car have some swirls in them that I want to try to remove before I use Opticoat.

What can I use to polish out the defects? I don't want to be too aggressive and ruin the finish. On my truck I use Klasse AIO but it's in great shape so I've never tried to correct.

I have has zero luck correcting plastic chrome trim. It just gets clean and shiny. Let me know if anything works for you.

I use KAIO and work I would say OK haven't found the right product to remove all of them, also to maintain them I been using Plexus Plastic Cleaner & Polish.

It is all but impossible to correct swirl marks from plastic chrome. The coating is so thin and often it is the soft plastic underneath that has impressions in it from the scratches.

I would try correcting those marks or swirls, that some pretty thin coating. Best is to use a chemical based polish like a paint cleaner or my go to is PB PP

Thanks for the responses. The drivers side door handle doesn't look horrible and the others aren't too bad. I'll just stick to what I normally do and move on. I'm probably the only one who notices it anyway.
