Pinnacle Wax

I was wanting to get some of you guys thoughts.

I have a black metallic car, and I was wondering if it's worth buying Pinnacle Souveran Paste Wax, when I already have the Clearkote Carnauba Wax, VM,RMG. I'm very pleased with the Clearkote line..

Will I see enough of a difference to drop 124.99 for the Pinnacle Souveran Sizzling Shine Kit.

I don't mind spending the money for Souveran, if it's worth it, but I would hate to spend the money and then say I can't tell any difference.

One last question. What's the difference between the high dollar Souveran wax, and the Pinnacle Signature Series II?

Thanks for your help.

If you're willing to pay for it, I'm sure you'll be happy with Souveran. It's supposedly the best for non-metallic black and red cars. However, I've heard some people rave about it on metallic cars. I have it on my red Prelude VTEC right now and it does look great, but I also remember it looking great with the much, much less expensive Meguiar's M26 ($2.00 clearance at Autozone) also. IMO, it's pricey. When I got them, they were $50. Now they're almost $90. Personally, I can't tell the difference between it and M26, so I wouldn't get it again. It is a lot easier to take off, though.

You did not mention it, but if durability is one of your criterias, look elsewhere.

Signature Series II is marketed as the wax for metallics, but like I said, many people swear by Souveran on metallics.

It's a nice wax and it's very easy to use, but it doesn't last long whatsoever, maybe a wash or two. If you like waxing a lot, this is for you.

Don't buy it when it's $90. Wait until they have a BOGOF on it. Or, buy a used pot. There are so many member who do the BOGOF that there are plenty people that have a second lying around they'd sell for $40.

As mentioned, Souveran looks better on solids (usually mutes flakes) and SSII is better for metallics. Some people have experienced that they work well in either situation though. My car is metallic, and I liked the RMG/CMW better than RMG/SSII or just SSII. The CK combo also lasts a lot longer.

Agreed. It doesn't last long, but it works so easy that it's a joy to use frequently. And of course, it looks amazing. Definitely worth a BOGO purchase.

it is a good wax but you're going to have to wax your car alot to keep it looking at its best

=D

but since summer is coming up, its the perfect reason to spend some money on a nice wax hehe

I'm just wondering if it's worth it over the Clearkote products I have now? I also have the Zaino, and DG line, along with Meguiars #16. If the Pinnacle would make that much of a difference after prep I don't mind trying it.

I've tried DG products, and then I bought the Zaino line because everyone raved about it. IMO I can't tell enough difference to justify the price for the Zaino over DG. Again JMO.

What are your thoughts on the Pinnacle wax, since you said it was ok, not the best.

Souveran paste wax is just awesome. the results are wet and glossy. my go to wax for the best shine...

I have and use both. Quite frankly ClearKote with RMG gives a very wet look to your finish, great look, whereas Souveran gives a little more muted look. This is my opion on an 08 Black Vette Coupe. These are glamor waxes, look elsewhere for longevity.
