Pinnacle Black Label Update

I corrected and coated my wife's car with Pinnacle Black Label Diamond Surface Coating back on December 28th, 2013. This is a 2 1/2 month update of how the car is looking and how the PBL Diamond Surface Coating is performing today.

Here is an example of the beading the car exhibits before it was washed today, you can still clearly see nice looking beads even when the car has a layer of dirt on it.

Today was the second time I have used the PBL Diamond Coating Shampoo since the car was initially coated. I maintain the car with Pinnacle Liquid Crystal Waterless Wash Concentrate with Carnauba on a regular basis so the buckets don't get pulled out too often.

After the wash was complete I tested the sheeting capabilities of the coating.

The window still sheeted water very quickly and the hood did still sheet but not as quickly as the vertical window.

Overall the paint still looks very nice and glossy and it still beads and sheets water.

I plan to coat my other car soon as this coating appears to be working as it should and it is pleasing to look it. The vehicle does stay cleaner longer with the coating which is a big plus living in a very dusty area.

thanks for the update. I am glad to see that you are also enjoying your bl coating. I really like the shampoo and maintenance kit as well.

So reviving my old dead thread here but I figured I would post an update a little over 2 years after my application. I have been regularly using pinnacle waterless wash concentrate to wipe down the car every two weeks and the car has received 5 actual baths with pinnacle diamond coat shampoo.

I dont have any pictures at the moment showing beading but I can describe the effect. The Windows still have some minor beading as a result of the coating but the paint has lost almost all of the beading characteristics of the coating. The entire car still has minor beading but it is definitely time for a recoat as it doesn't bead nearly like it did upon application.

Overall this coating withstood two years of daily driving and parking outdoors. There are a few minor swirls on the paint but not enough to warrant a full polish yet. The coating and proper washing techniques definitely helped to minimize swirls.

The Big question? Would I buy it again?! Yes!

After two two years of longevity I am impressed with the way the car still looks. I will be polishing and reapplying what is left of my PBL Diamond surface coating to see if the bottle has and coating has survived 2 years in the garage and still able to be used a second time.

Though it may not have lasted the 3 as advertised 2 years is still impressive for a brand new product.

that is good to hear
I loved my pbl paint coating (v1) have yet to try the v2..i polished off the v1 at 24 months and it was still there but not up to my desired beading level and I wanted to experiment.......I left it on my tailgate and have never topped it with anything but Synergy or the coating booster (a long time ago) and it is still faintly beading at 26 months last time I checked

think of all the time you saved in those two years
