I started out working mobile a couple years ago but last year I started working out of a small one bay shop. I am pretty much running at capacity at the shop location so we decided to set up a mobile unit to reach more customers. The mobile unit will only do mini/express details and hopefully some fleet washing.
The van is a 2008 extended 3/4 ton cargo van. A 165 gallon water tank is mounted in the center, the 3000 watt generator is mounted in the back, and for now an electric pressure washer will be used. A couple of cabinets were mounted to the side walls to hold towels, and miscellaneous stuff. The van will also be equiped with a wet/dry shop vac, a 10x15 popup tent, and the obvious equipment needed for basic wash/vac/wax.
I am a little worried about the pressure wash running off the water tank just on gravity feed. I dont have a pump between the tank and pressure washer and the tank is not elevated due to its size. I have an old electric pressure washer in there for now that will be my guinea pig.
Suggestions of how I could improve the layout or functionality of the van would be appreciated.
