Pictures of my bike

Detail time!
A few of you may know that I am in the process of building a motorcycle... well I'm actually converting my dirt bike into a street bike- a supermoto.

Even though it doesn't have much paint on it, it is a 2000 DRZ-400E that has seen the last 6 years in the mud and dirt . Now the local riding areas have been closing down so I decided that it would be fun to street ride with it. Well as for detailing, I spent a few weeks with towels and a citrus degreaser to clean all of the mud and grime off the parts. I added some new plastics to make it look nice. All metal (except engine and exhaust) got Poorboy's Wheel Sealant times 2 or 3. Heres the pictures:

And the wheels:

And the difference between my old front rotor and new one:

As you can probably tell, there aren't many parts on there that are stock. The only things that are include the engine, suspension, gas tank, seat and swingarm. Most of the other parts are all aftermarket that I have been piecing together over the winter. Hope you like! :bigups

Edit- I guess without the
function working the pics won't show up in the forum... which seems to only be in the motorcycle forum.

Have fun with it!!!! I to am a dirt bike/quad rider i cant think of any better way to have a great time and just forget about everything then a nice off-road/on road adventure.

Thanks guys. I'll be pulling the bike out of the basement this weekend and get some better pictures :). The good thing is that if I ever want to switch it back over to its dirt set-up I have the old wheels and stuff which I can change over in less than an hour :D

I can't figure out why it's only that way in the motorcycle forum, but I'll get it working. :inspector:

Great looking bike!

Funny thing that winter dose to us makes us clean things that we wouldn't even think of other wize....I cleaned all the pots and pans in the house recently

Awesome thanks Troy!!!

Haha I know huh. I went to town with an old terry, some of that degreaser and a toothbrush. I was pulling leaves and mud that was a few years old out of places on the bike. Now it'll be much easier to keep clean :).

Man I need to check out this forum more often! That's a sharp looking DR! Now be a man and slap a White Bros exhaust on it, or any aftermarket model at that! 4 strokes sound awesome with exhaust :dnaughty
I just started cleaning up my YZ 125 this last weekend. It's older, a 93, but the motor came out of one of our karts, it's a screamer alrighty. I've almost got the motor out, all the plastics and everything are off. Going to repaint the frame, clean up the plastics and slap on a new seat cover, some Pro-Tapers and new brake/clutch levers. Oh, and I need to replace my chunked up rear tire, then I'll be ready for spring :rockon

I didn't mean to bring up an "old" thread but that's one clean bike! And that front rotor is MASSIVE!
