*pics* B&A's from this weekend (56K warning)

GOT PREP?
Had a few details this weekend and thought that I would share.

The first is a 2004 GMC Denali, a return customer(also a VERY good customer).

The inside was a mess with dog hair EVERYWHERE!!!! Sorry no before pics.

I started this detail on Saturday, got everything except the paint finish and started to poor rain!!!:( I came back today, gave a quick S&W and finished with PWC with the PC @5.

AIO on the hard plastic and moldings, Meguiars high gloss endurance on the tires.

Next up was a 1998 chrysler sebring, she was a WRECK!!!! The inside was really trashed, the pics just don't show the true condition of the car.

The outside has various repaints, bonded "gunk" all over the paint, tar, sap you name it. I used Hi-TEMP meduim cut with a meguiars polishing pad @5.5. This is a very nice polish, on par with DACP, but much easier to work with. I then topped with NXT

Wheels were cleaned with an acid based wheel cleaner and my EZ detail brush. Tires are dressed with Meg's high endurance. I did not dress the wheel wells because the customer has to drive down a gravel road in order tyo get the hanger(he is a pilot).

After on the interior.

My thoughts in general on convertables are that they are dirty and dusty in odd places because of the owners riding with the top down. This car made me feel even stronger that this is true.

The lighting conditions were not even close to being the same for the B&A's, but hopefully you can get an idea of what I was dealing with.

They both look great, but the transformation of the Sebring has to make you feel really good.
That one really needed some help.

Wow great work! I always wonder how people get all that dirt off and make paints sparkle like crazy. Have you used ssr2.5? How would you compare it to MC? How did you apply High Endurance? I"m getting tired and sick of it. People say its easy to apply but I always get an uneven finish. Maybe my tires have too much or they are too dirty :dunno

Thanks!

I have tried SSR2.5, but this is my first time with HT MC. Let me play with it a bit and then I can decide exactly how it stacks up. I haven't tried the MC with the rotary yest.

I apply the endurance with the supplied applicator. I have never had a problem with it though I prefer the original low gloss formula for my personal vehicles. Your tires could also be too dirty.

CharlesW, thanks a lot. I appreciate the kind words!

If I remember correctly you have the Ninja Extractor from TOL correct? Seems to work pretty well

I can't believe that's the same car! The transformation is incredible! The befores look totally trashed & the afters look better than new!!
Great work, but how can you then let him take it down a gravel road . . . I mean, I know it's HIS car, but it's YOUR work!! And you'll just have to do it all over again.

When I saw B&A in the subject from EBP, I knew it was going to good. Great work as always. I look forward to hearing what you have to say HT MC, once have tested it a few more times.

I always look forward to your posts. I know to expect excellent pics and work done on the vehicles. Also, the array of products you use help us get a good view of what's next to purchase :D

Anyways, could you please tell me how you cleaned up the Denali's wells? The paint in them is as clean as the rest of the exterior!

Amazing work on the Sebring too. That thing was a bomb! What did you use on the carpets?

Thanks so much everyone for the kind words, it means a lot!

Edshwab1, I will definitely keep you posted on the MC. As of my initial impressions, DACP is on the back shelf.

GSRstilez, I used a product called white tire spray on the wheel wells of the denali. I buy it locally for about $6 a gallon and cut it 50/50. I use as a very strong APC for engines and wheel wells. The secret for me has been to spray it on, scrub with an eight inch tampico brush, and then rinse. I never allow it to dry. When used in this manner it can handle a good deal of grime.

On the interior I used another product that I buy locally called K-50. It is a high alkaline APC that contains sodium hydroxide. It is VERY strong and designed for high production detailing. I use it cut 1/8 with water. On dashes I spray on and wipe off, for cxarpets, I spray on, agitate with a small brush, allow it to sit for about 5 minutes, then wipe with a terry cloth towel. I then follow with my little green clean machine with costco APC in it or the OXI-clean solution(Typically 2 scoops with 8 cups of hot water).

Thanks again everyone!
