So I got the financing I wanted and pulled the trigger on a 2012 Mustang V6 with the performance package and 6-speed today!. I ended up trading the TA in because it was getting old and showing it's age. Plus that automatic was so boring to drive everyday. I ended up getting performance white since it was either white or silver cars that were available here in South Florida with the options I wanted. This will be my first white car and since I'm used to an old black car this thing should be a breeze to keep clean. It should be in tomorrow afternoon from a dealer trade and I'm gonna go immediately pick it up (dirty of course, no DISO for me). I guess I'm gonna need a new screen name just like Mark. I'll have to think about what my new name will be...

Here's a pic off the dealer website

yo,yo,yo, give the v-6 brotha some slack homies! he probably paid more in taxes than my 2000 ford f150 is worth. haha

You are going to love it, I just picked up a 13 gt/cs. I have driven the v6 and with 305 hp it doesn't feel like a v6. Congrats

No offense intended in my post. I was simply inferring that he's had a V8 and moving a non-traditional direction when talking about upgrading your pony car. I can see where that might lead to a let down. I've road in one of these and as far a V6 goes they are a fire breather. That said, all things being equal save it be number of cylinders, more cubic inches win. Anyway you look at it 300+ h.p. is enough to move you. Now if Ford would offer their EcoBoost in the Mustang there would certainly be after market upgrades that would make it rival their V8's. I'm becoming more of an EcoBoost fan every time I jump in my father's truck. It's a solution to the real world issues of economy, torque and horsepower facing truck owners today. The torque curve is extremely flat and the power band starts way down around 2000 rpm's.

Well I picked it up today. Wow, it is impressively quick and VERY fun to drive. My last mustang was an 03 Mach 1 and this car is just as fun to drive and runs roughly the same in a quarter mile. And, it gets 10 mpg better on the highway. So, for me, this V6 with the performance pack is more than enough car for the price. I got the best car I could have with the payment range I needed to stay in. More pics to come later.

Here she is safe at home today. I didn't expect the stripes on it but I like the contrast they give so I think I'll keep em. I'm in the process right now of applying Blackfire Crystal Seal followed by a coat of Fuzion. I'll post pics when I'm done.
