Does PFW need to be Primed before use? (KBM) If not how much compound do I need use (105/205) same as regular pads?? Or more? (using a FLEX)

When I use 105/205 I always prime. Usually i apply a + on the pad and do a section then after that I only use 2 pea sized dots. Eventually the pad gets caked and I either grab a new one and prime then 2 pea sized or I wash in my pad washer. If I do the pad washer I don't prime again i only apply a few pea sized dots and start back up.

Hey Method, does it sling alot of compound when it starts to flash over? It seems like it would take heck of alot of passes to get the compound to flash over?? Or are you priming and then blotting on a towel? Thanks Method

105 is much nicer with wool than foam IMO. I actually use a fair amount of product to prime wool and really massage it in trying to get equal saturation on all the fibers. I just used a PFW with 105 and it cut *much* more and was a *little* nicer to work with primed that way. I don't see getting many cars out of it though. Not as durable as my other wool pads for sure.

And yes, plan on plenty of wool strands, dust, and sling using 105 with wool. Just part of the equation when using wool IMO.
