PFW + Power Gloss any advice??

My first attempt with the PC went pretty well on my son's first "beater" car. Didn't want to spend alot of $$ at the time so I used some Turtle Wax Premium Compound and cleaned that up with ZPC.

So, this weekend it's my wife's car, 2000 Ford Explorer Sport. Not as bad as the "beater" but many scratches that are deeper. Since I had to use many passes of the Turtle Wax to correct my son's car (arms still hurt), I decided to spend the bucks and buy a combo that would work a little quicker. PFW's and Power Gloss. I definately have the detailing bug. :waxing:

Anyway, would any of you be willing to offer up any info that will help me with this? How much PG should I apply to the pad? Some have said to apply the PG to the car?? Spritz the PFW or no?? Spur the pad, what does this mean and how do you do it? Can I use a dull screwdriver and how? Any and all opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I'm using these other cars to learn more before I step up to the new IS 350 that was left with swirlys by the dealer. I don't have the confidence yet.

Thanks

I've done the PFW, via Flex, on a few cars now. My personal preference, after doing it both ways, is to put the powergloss on the scratch, spritz the PFW with a single shot of water, then go.

But I only use the PFW for major corrective action, scratches, where I had to sand, or where we pushed one car with the other and left a nice contact patch on the bumpers.
