Pewter Nissan Altima Best Shine ??

Hey I'm new to detailing and I wanted to know what products would offer the best shine on a Polished Pewter Altima. I have read the tutorials several times and always refer back to them. I don't have a rotary or orbital buffer.

This is a picture of the car.

well since u said the altima is already polished, i would recommend s100/p21s for a wax, since it has a really nice shine, and is very easy to use... as for a paint sealant, i would recommend the wolfgang sealant, again being easy to use, and leaving behind a really slick feel. also, i havent tried any poorboys products yet, but i have heard that both the poorboys ex-p, and nattys wax are great products, and really bring out the metallics in metallic paint. all u have to do is decide if u want wax or sealant or both (best of both world protection and looks)...

Sorry to mislead you about the polished part. Polished Pewter is actually the color name. So far from what I have and what I'm going to purchase my procedure will be

Wheels and Tire cleaning

Wash With Meguiars Gold Class Soap using VW wash mitt

Clay with Autopia Bar

Seal with EX-P

Wax with S100

Revised

I've used both wg and poorboys exp on my carbon gray acura and you can't go wrong with either. They both look good. The exp does seem to bring out the metallic flake more, but as I said, you can't go wrong either way, just depends on the look you're after and both are really easy to use by hand.

Also what type of applicators and towels do you use? I currently don't have many microfiber towels or foam applicators.

I would also use klasse AIO in between the clay and EX-P step. AIO has proven itself to be a great base for many sealants on the market. AIO is also a great mild polish and chemical cleaner. It really is a good choice as a pre wax/sealant step. Easy to use with great results. Your paint will thank you!

I use Einszett products on my Lt. Pewter Jeep. Products are easy to use and very durable.

towels: get some good quality MF. also a waffle weave MF to dry your car after washing & rinsing it.

applicators: any quality foam applicators will work.

i think EX-P would be nice. it creates a nice, clean reflection. if you want to top it off with a wax, you might want to also consider PB's natty wax.

and with the EX-P, your surface needs to be freshly polished. you might want to consider using a light polish, like the AIO Bill suggested. AIO seems to be a very versatile product. i've heard of people using it on almost everything on the car (trim, side windows, headlights, rims)

I detailed a BMW 525 the other day that was a very similar color. I used Poorboy's Polish w/carnauba and EX-P Sealant. Turned out very good, super wet looking.

You can't go wrong with Bill's suggestion of AIO either.
