Pearl White

P-I-M-P I AM SIMPLY
What would be the best poor boy products to use on a pearl white car. The paint is in pretty decent shape and i tried the PB tire gloss and PB spray and wipe from someone on the board (thesopranos16). I was amazed by these products...what else would you guys recommend from poor boy?

For pearl white, I would say:

An SSR polish depending on the swirls.
Then PWC (Polish with Carnauba)
Top with Natty's Paste Wax.

On whites, I also like the SSR polishes, followed by PP, then EX-P (x 2 or 3), and then Natty's.

That gives a nice bright, clear, reflective finish that works well with white.

either of the above choices works well...PP will make it brighter, PwC will make it a little warmer:hippi

I just did my 02 White Grand Caravan last weekend with SSR1 then a coat of EX-P.
Looks as good if not better than last falls AIO/SG application.
Nice POP.
I thought the EX-P gave it a nice deep clear look.
I'll follow it up this weekend with another coat of EX-P.

I would tend to agree with others members of this site.
PwC and EX for the darker colors. Warm, Deep Wet look.
PP and EX-P for the lighter colors. Clear, Bright look.

SSR1, PwC, and EX on my black car looks much warmer and wetter than the 3 coats of EX-P I applied last fall.

You can't go wrong with any of the Poorboys products

Have Fun.

I have a large Toyota Sequoia which is a lot of white! The Poorboys Pro Polish brought out a definite POP. I topped with UPP which kept it BRIGHT. I also have tried the Klasse twins which gave a "plastic" type look which is also bright and glossy. I've even played with the Wolfgang Twins which is a bit "warmer"...haven't tried the EX-P route yet but that's my next fun weekend.

I have topped with carnuba and definitely get a "wetter" look with just a very slight "mute" but I definitely like the look. Truly BRIGHT look is either the Poorboys PP followed by UPP or the glossy Klasse twins but I wouldn't redo the carnuba, although you get a definite "wet" look, but that's just my personal preference.

I did my daily driver with SSR1 and a coat of EX-P. It's a marroon metallic and the paint just pops. EX-P looks great on my Silver "toy" and the deep red paint of my driver. I wouldn't limit it to just light colours.

i thought a carnuba wax was a no no on white cars....i could be mistaken tho.
Its not thats it's a "no no." Its just that usually carnauba waxes darken the color which produces a deeper shine. A white car is never really going to have a "deep" shine so IMO why fight it? You're better off sticking with synthetic products like ex-p. White cars have a very bright look to them and ex-p is a very clear and bright sealant, so it compliments the characteristics of white paint better. I have seen people with good results using natty's on white, but in my experiences ex-p has been the better choice...

My personal favorite combo on white is SSR's + ProPolish + EX-P(at least 2) then Natty's. Rick

I personally like the look of carnuba on pearl white. The gloss may not be as high as a synthetic, but it adds warmth to the paint. It's hard to explain, and the attached pictures doesn't really give the look justice, but the slight darkening of pearl white gives the paint more depth. Natty's is a great carnuba on white, as it adds a pop to the paint. Give it try, you may never go back.

well i figured i would go all out and splurge a little bit got me some bold and bright, ex-p, natural look, nattys, spray and gloss, and 6 mega plush towels
