Keep it clean !!!
I joined this organization recently, and was wondering how many DC professionals have joined also?

The organization has only been around less than a year (I believe), but my communication with it's founders, leads me to believe that it will work as a good networking source for professionals. The gentlemen who formed the organization Jim Hammil and Brian Angelucci seem very dedicated about forming a solid professional organization that will assist the professional detailer in many ways. Many of us professional detailers start out as great detailers with no idea about how to actually start a business. My hopes are that an organization like this can better assist a new business owner with questions about ...

Insurance
Accounting
Legal Federal/State requirements
OSHA regulations

As a member of this organization, I hope that this thread is not viewed as "advertising" or an indorsement of the organization. Just looking to get some input from others about their thoughts of a professional organization for detailers.

I joined and have been a member since the beginning. Both Jim and Brian genuinely care about the everyday detailers and are doing a great job of putting the organization together. I believe that they will grow into a very important resource for detailers who want to know they have some muscle behind their business. I also like the fact that some standards will be put into effect for people who want to be true professionals. We all know about the fly by night group of supposive detailers who can give the detailing industry a bad name. I tip my hat to these guys and look forward to the PDTA's continual growth and prosperity.

I joined when it started up but I haven't paid since they changed the membership in January . I'm going to give it some time to see how it goes. The forum is real helpful and as far as the request area goes I haven't seen any jobs in my area yet. We'll see how it goes .

I also joined when it was free to sign up. I would like to join as a paying member, but I have other things I need to direct my money towards. As in getting a full blown business going.
