PDR question

I was calling around to check on the cost and if PDR can be done to the vehicle. I was told by one person PDR should be performed outside and another say PDR should be performed inside a shop. As one could probably guess the people stated their work environemnt is best. Which is the better environment for PDR work to be performed?

there is two differnent methods for reading a dent, with a light and a board. the board is more successful outside as it uses sunlight to show the dent. the light i find is easier to use inside but it can be used outside. i also find the light to be a better tool for a successful removal of the dent. either one is o.k., i don't one over the other will give you more success. the biggest thing is taking it to a reputable pdr tech. call a local car dealership and see who they use. good luck.

Thanks for the maximv1. I received the information from different dealer service departments. It appears there are very few PDR techs in my area. One was informative about the PDR process and himself, stated some dings/dents/crease can not be removed or accessed and even gave caveats about PDR. Another was vague, but said the work could be done and that he was trained and experienced. While another was inbetween. The high-end dealers have there PDR person and they are expensive per panel.
