I have been reading some poasts and have a few questions. If i get the PC 7336, will i need to replace the counterweight? I have the SFX-3 Finish pad and the SFX-2 Enhance pad (i know i will need a few more) and i also have the DAS Flexplate 5".

WEll i went out an bought myself a PC7336 from Lowes for 109.99+ tax. The pads and flexplate that i got work just fine with it and it shounds even better then the 7242, but maybe cause i put the flexplate on first.

From what I gather, the heavier that counterwieght, the harder orbit the PC has, more power on the PC is always definately a good thing. FWIW I have the 7336 and it has worked more than great for me on all kinds of polishing tasks, not to mention I have a sanding plate that came with it, so I can tackle some wood if need be, I understand that the 7424 doesnt come with one, could be wrong tho.

Yeah, I thought that was kinda funny considering that they usually sell for the same price at places that carry both.

I replaced my 7424 with the 7336 when it died on me one day. It feels smoother on 6. That is a good thing. Mine spends a lot of time on 6. ;)
