pc vs pcxp

now that it has been out for a while, who is using it on a daily basis and how do you like it compared to the old...is it worth buying one and having the regular one as a backup?

Friend of mine just got the pcxp and he does have the old 7424. Didn't seem to be much difference. Do you own a Flex? If not, get it and use the pc for smaller areas, waxing, carpet cleaning and as a back up.

for the price tag, and the rumored problems, and the backwards spin of the flex, I would rather not...

thanks for the input though

anyone else?

Love the new PC. A big difference between the new and old. New has a more power and less vibration. I would suggest buying one. I think I got mine for like 119 bucks.

+2 for the PC XP. I use mine every day. Much more power. I use the original PC for waxing now as it's a little less cumbersome than the new one.

Best of all, it's the same price as the original - about $175 less than the Flex!

i would imagine that the 7424XP would be noticeably different to the 7424, but not so much to the G110/UDM (older model)...

bit the bullet, just ordered one from coastaltool.com for 118 shipped!

now to get the other PC's in my garage fixed - one needs a new power cord, two need new brushes!

call and tell them to package the inside (bubble wrap the PC), otherwise they will send it as is (no packaging inside and they don't ship it in another box with packaging peanuts) and it will arrive with the box all tore up and who knows what the polisher may go through it's journey...

Good info! i'll be sure to ask/demand too.

i'm not the only one who has experienced the bad shipping either. you figure they would carefully package a $100+ unit like AG, but they don't and cut corners in shipping IMO...

Well, I am finally using it right now on a friends car!

I like it, more power, better ergonomics, and still safe! Seems to remove defects a bit faster, so one steps will get better so to speak. All the switch talk is whatever to me, took a couple times to get comfortable with the on off switch and just sliding my hand over like with the original PC.

overall, better IMO and I will get a couple more instead of the originals....
