Might hit some of the M3 with Mazerna IP and then FPII.

Any recommendations for both on the PC?:waxing:

Using an orange LC pad for the IP and a polishing pad with the FPII.

Thanks

There is no other speed for correction then speed 6.

I know you use speed six for Menzerna Intense Polish to correct the paint. Do you stick with speed six when using the Finishing Polish? I was under the assumption that you should slow down a bit.

With the Menzerna polishes, both IP and FPII, I find using them at speed 6 is the best way to get the best out of the abrasives, and this holds even more true for the cerami-clear range. If its PO91L that you have, keep the pressure light from the starting passes as the abrasives in it are brittle so excess pressure will destroy them before they've had a chance to properly cut.

Some polishes however will correct perfectly happily at speed 5, Megs #83 being an example - indeed I find using this as speed 6 dries the polish out too quickly, the slower speeds seem more suited to it on the PC.

Crap.....I hate 6 with that thing.

Always feles like one wrong move and.............:buffing:

To hurt the clearcoat you would have to stand in one spot for a long time with a 4 inch pad.Dont worry just use speed 6.

don't want to hijack your thread but how about with SIP, 6 also? Also how long should it take to fully break down SIP? I worked it for about 3-4 mins in a 2x2 area and it never came clear/translucent like i thought i would have.

Personally, I don't use SIP by any other means than rotory. SIP likes speed and heat and the P/C can't deliver in that area. SIP finishes nearly crystal clear with the rotory, that's how you know your done polishing. If you're stopping while the SIP is still cloudy then you have not broken it down properly and your results will suffer with micro marring, light circular scratches and most of all...holograms. Use a rotory and get the most out of your SIP.

I use a UDM on speed 5 most of the time, on a few problem area's then i will use 6, and it comes out very nice.....next yr i'm getting a rotary!
