PC question

I just re- read the write up on the PC that David B did for Better Car Care.Com. According to the article it says you can run the PC off the car battery if you use a 750 watt power inverter. Has anybody done this? How did it work? What exactly is this power inverter? TIA

In a nutshell, all it does is convert DC power (auto current) to AC power (house current) in order to run the PC just like as if you were in your garage. You just have to make sure your unit can handle the power that the PC is going to need or you will burn it or the wiring up.

No, the car can be running or it can be turned off but if you turn the car off, it's not charging your battery anymore which means that if you run the buffer too long without the car running, the batter will eventually die. Another option would be to use a spare battery and just charge it at home, but I don't know how long that would last. And you last option would be to just get a small gasoline powered generator.
