the thing i dont get about the porter cable is which weight do you use when using the polishing pad they give you?

do you use the weight according to the pad or backing plate size?

I have used both weights and cant tell a difference

I've been told to always keep the 6" weight on, that's what I've been doing. My 5" weight just sits
