I have never had this question and I hope someone can help me. I had a guy attempt to sell me a pretty big wax pad that does fit my PC. I was wondering if you can use a pad that is so much bigger than the original? Is there anything wrong with using this large of a pad on such a small velco backing plate?

I'm thinking it would be somewhat pointless because the parts that don't have a backing plate behind them won't have much pressure on the paint and will probably just drag product around. Also, I would assume the polisher would be less effective because there is a bigger pad to move than with the smaller one. $.02
