Can someone tell me if the pad on the pc is supposed to be constantly turning? I can grab the pad to stop it from spinning, or if I put the slightest pressure on it, it no longer spins in a circle. Do the motions mimic that of a rotary, or is it nothing like it at all?
You can stop the pad from spinning by putting pressure on it. However I always lift so that you can get the action on the pad. You could not stop a rotary this way so that's why a PC or orbital sander is what it really is, is fool proof.
Yup if you have it on the paint and push down until it stops spinning and lighten up just enought so that it starts spinning again...this is the prime spot I have found for using the PC.
So, if you do nothing but rest your PC on a car without applying pressure other than the PC weight and it stops its orbital action and just bounces around (random action) somethings wrong? Because I'm afraid that my PC is a little weak on the orbital action. Can someone give me a little advice or guidance here, should I take it back for another or what?
