PC Hook and Loop Pad vs. Velcro Pad

I am finally going to take the dive and purchase a PC. I was wondering if I need the hook and loop pad from costaltool.com or should I just purchase the Velcro Backing plate? Are there any advantages or disadvantages of one over the other?

I was wondering about that myself. I mostly want it for scratch and swirl removal and was curious what pad would be best for this.

Hook and loop and velcro are the same animal. Either description of a backing plate means your getting the same thing.
