I just got my PC 7424 and noticed there was a single washer in the box. Why is it there? Is it supposed to be used as a spacer for something? I see no mention of it in the instruction manual. Thanks!

I was told it was supposed to be used between the machine hub and the backing plate.
I don't think it's too important. I lost mine about two years ago and nothing has happened yet. Use it till you lose it.
Actually, I think it is to give a little more clearance for the wrench.:dunno
