PC backing plate/ pad question

My PC came with a backing plate which is around 6" in diameter. I also orderd the lake country 6.5" pads. The problem is that the black velcro on these pads only measures aroud 5" in diameter so the foam is getting destroyed when i use the PC at high speeds. I need some recommendations of pads that will work with this backing plate or should i just bite the bullet and invest in the sonus flex plate and all sonus pads?

Yeah, I say go get a 5" backplate, then you can use it on any size of pad plus its way cheaper than returning the pads and getting larger 7" ones from LC.

Ask lake county which backing plate they recommend for their plates . Easy .

Also I think that certain pads are made only( or more specifically ) for da's while others are more universal
