PC 7424 Service

I've had my buffer for about 2-1/2 years now and it's never been serviced. Is there a rule-of-thumb concerning how often it SHOULD be serviced? How much will it cost? What exactly should be done when serviced (bearing, brushes?)?

The manual that came with my 7336, (which appears to be the same manual included with the 7224 and 7335) suggests taking or sending the unit to a Porter-Cable/Delta service facility after 100 hours of use. According to the manual, no owner service is recommended. :dunno

I would think using the pc for sanding- its intended use- would demand more maintaince with the dust and all. 100 hours of polish and wax application could be different.
