PC 7424 bites the dust

I was polishing my truck today with my PC 7424 and just as I was about to finish the motor shaft broke. Has anyone else had this problem. Would it be less expensine to buy another 7424 or try to have this one fixed. It is only three or four years old and I only use it on my three vehicles....thanks :wall

Get the new 7424XP.

same exact thing happened to me a few days ago!!! the backing plate just fell out still screwed into the shaft. I have a 7424xp under warranty so the local pc repair store had it fixed for me in less than an hour. Price the repair and see if it's worth it.
