PB's PwC topped w/EX-P?

I want to use a polymer sealant instead of one with carnuba for increased durability.

Is it a good combo to use PwC topped with Ex-p or is it a bad idea to top a carnuba with a polymer?

For "increased" durability, I would go with straight EX-P on a surfaced cleaned with Pro Polish.

You can mix and match just about any products you want............... but I doubt that it will "increase" durability................ I suspect it would "reduce" durability.

Won't the carnuba in EX tend to dissapate quicker than the polymer product EX-p?
I was just wondering if the polymer sealant would bond to the PwC?
Explain how would it "reduce" durability?

For increased durability, I'd skip the PWC, clean with PP, and go with only EX-P (layers)!

However, either the EX, or EX-P over PWC would probably be decent.

You should be a politician the way you danced around my questions without answering them.

WOW, that sounds a little rude for someone wanting advice!!! Besides, what about his answer didn't you understand?

Hey Jesuspeeps............. I certainly won't offer to help you out again!
:doubleduc

in theory the ex-p should last longer as it is a pure sealant. I have used PwC topped with EX-P and i had no problems. I think using PP before the EX-P might be a better option for someone looking for the absolute most durability as PP will leave the surface completely free of anything which should give EX-P a much stronger bond.I can never leave my car alone long enough to really test durability. the longest I usually go is about a month then I usually try a new combination. Both PwC and PP work great as a prep for either EX or EX-P it just depends on the look you want. PP and EXP give a much more clear reflective shine. PwC and EX give a more deep wet look.I hope this helps a little:dunno

Maybe Jesuspeeps forgot to put the :lmfao beside his comment. in all honesty maybe he was just kidding:dunno

Take it easy boss:wow

I was just looking for more detail than, "it would probably be decent".

Don't take it as an insult. I appreciate the replies.

There was an answer there. I guess you either didn't recongnize it or wanted a different answer.

in the interest of harmony :) - J'peeps - as far as durability go I can't speak to EX-P but EX and PwC have great great druability and the EX can be layered like any other sealant. What the "with carnuba" adds is a depth to the paint the lacks in pure sealants (often called the plastic effect). The pro polish EX-P combo would remove the carnuba from the equation but PB makes all his products to work well with each other and other products. I have used PwC with UPP with no loss in durability or bonding.

You broke an unwritten rule. Don't cross the Boss.

Bye. Bye. Come back in two (2) weeks.

Wow. Dwayne doesn't take any Shizzle!!! Noobs beware. Don't mess with the vets!!!

Seriously though, lets try to keep this a fun place to share ideas and advise. I for one have learned more in my time here than most people would learn in a lifetime. Sometimes things come across in the wrong way when they are typed but you have to be aware of that before you respond. Just a little advise for noobs (like me I guess)

haha you and me both mate, there's always room for improvements whether in detailing (or net etiquette):)

No need to worry. I just thought that post in particular was very rude.

Exactly my point in the noob warning. Wether or not you agree with someone, have respect and you shall get it back. Especially someone with as much knowledge in their pinky as one has in thier whole body!
