PB's prototype leather cleaner review

Steve sent me a free trial size bottle of this with my last order. Here's a quick review

Cost: Free, but probably going to be around 15/bottle or 50/gallon when released.

Packaging: Comes in a little bottle with a pump. The bottle sucks, but hopefully the finished version will be sans the pump. No instructions, but its not like leather cleaning is rocket science.

Product: Light blue, looks kind of like a very thick Natural Look. Smells kind of like leather mixed with NL, mild yet pleasant. Not as pleasant as most PB's products, though. Seems to be pretty gentle on the hands, leaves the surface just slightly sticky. When followed with 4* LC, the stickiness was gone.

Effectiveness: Better than Woolite/Water, IMHO. Spread it thinly, let sit for 5 minutes, then scrub with a stiff brush, and it beats any other dedicated leather cleaner I have used (full disclosure: I've only used Lexol :)). I think the pic speaks for itself (you can see splotches of the product on the dirty side).

Overall: Score another one for Steve. Although some of PB's products are of dubious origin , this one's a keeper. I'll be ordering a gallon when it comes out.

On the left (top): not cleaned yet

On the right: I don't know, these didn't come out. This car had some NASTY stains that didn't want to come out, even with a MCME

In the middle by the seatbelts: operator error :)

I'm pretty sure I got it perfect after this pic, this one was just a quickie cause the difference caught my eye. Plus, leather is not my area of expertise. Its probably my weakest part of the detail, that or glass.

Ugh, you can't imagine. I almost puked when I got in it, and I had to odor bomb it just to get any work done :(. Probably 90% of the nooks and crannies ended up needing 5:1 APC to cut through sticky crap. Came out nice though, and the owner wants to get it on a 3-month detailing schedule :). Sometimes, people do see the light.
