Can I put Poorboy's Black Hole Glaze over the KSG? I got some light buffer trails from improper buffing. The plan is put PBH then add Natty's Blue.

By machine Poorboys Black Hole has a cleaning action. By hand any cleaning action appears to be mild.

Are you sure they are buff trails, not just haze for KSG?

Well here's the story... I used Menzerna Power Finish on 4 inch LC green pad. First pass, it removed all the swirls but it left some scratches or rids (dont know the term). So I decided to go for another pass. And for some reason why it made it worse. I see buffer trails some light ones. Then I used P085RD with 4 inch white pad LC. And it cleared it a bit only. So now I'm planning to put PBH, but I already have a coat of KSG already. I don't know if PBH would blend in better. Is it really true, using PBH w/ a PC is better? What speed and color pad? I was planning to do it by hand since it got no cut anyhow.

I think it's not the KSG because I used QD to remove it a few times.

Has anyone used Poor Boys Black Hole over a sealant and would still fill in the minor scratches, light buffer trails, and rids? Any help would really be grateful. Thanks.

perhaps even a good carnuba would give a little filling ... sealants such as klasse tend to make imprefections even easier to see.. carnubas hide them better imo.. i doubt you'll get it perfect without buffing again, you can only hide so much..

I mean the imperfections I got is seriously minor... I already did polished out the holograms and swirls completely. But I'm lefted with rids, light scratches, pits, and I think it's called buffer trails. Used Power Finish, the followed by P085RD. So now I want to go Glaze so I don't remove anymore clears. Really newbie with polishing on a PC. (First timer). So looking forward on recommendations about GLAZE. Currently got some layers of KSG. Don't know which Glaze would go well. Any help?

BTW, my car is a Black Onyx Non-Metaillic color.

I was wondering.. I already have coats of a strong sealant. Could PBH penetrate through and hide the minor imperfections?

Wait you got buffer trails with a pc?????

I think blackhole has some cleaners and may remove some of your sealant

I think I do have buffer trails. Maybe because I didn't apply pressure evenly when polishing so maybe one side was higher than the other. I don't know. So the PBH would remove some of my KSG huh? I got like 4-5 layers. KSG is detergent resistance correct? I don't think it could remove that much if used by hand? But by machine it would fill in better correct?

From what I understand the black hole is a fill in glaze. It may have some cleaning properties to sharpen the shine on dark colors but it is first and foremost a "fill in" glaze. I would recommend you use it after your polishing step and before and LSP. Since you already have the LSP on there you could try to apply the BH and them sandwich it between a few more coats of LSP.

You could also call Poorboys directly and Steve or Pockets WILL have THE answer. You could also post on the PB forum and they get back to you quickly.

I have used BH on my black infiniti with good results. I wish you luck, I feel your pain on black!

Hey Thanks! I really appreciate your help. I love the black, but who loves taking care of it. :sosad

GS4_Fiend- This isn't what you want to hear, but I'd correct the "buffer trails". No matter what. Those are simply something I wouldn't live with if only because they're a result of not doing the job properly.

Trying to hide them, by putting a glaze on top of your sealant, just isn't the right thing to do IMO. Just IMO though :nixweiss

You are right. But for some reason why I used the Menzerna Power Finish on 4" LC Green pad, it doesn't do the trick for some reason. It absolutely removed the swirls but not the rids, some light scratches, and buffer trails if that's what they are..
