Partial detail on my Trailblazer

Tex Star Detail

Formerly TexasTB
So, I had some time today and decided to clean up my truck a bit. I know I should have a spotless truck, being I am doing mobile detailing, but with all the kids......hahahaha. It's like the plumber with the leaky faucet.

So I did the exterior only. I did not dress any plastic or rubber on the outside, except for the tires. I was mainly concerned about the paint.

Process.....
NXT wash
Poorboys Clay entire vehicle including windows.
SSR 2 on all panels except hood using PC on 5.5 (blue Edge pad)
Optimum polish x2 on hood with PC on 5.5-6 (blue Edge pad and)
PwC w/PC on 5 (on Windows too)
Poorboys EX (will top with Nattys Blue x2 in the morning)

Tires and rims-
cleaned with Megs Hot Rims Multi-Piece Wheel Wash (got this from the free offer....works wonderful)
Wheel wells cleaned with SG cut 1:30
Tires and rims dressed with Megs Hyper dressing cut 1:1

Here is my neighbors car.....He sais he is a "make ready manager" (porter manager)for 2 Dodge Dealerships. Has looked like this since December. Fogged over headlights too. I told him I could fix them for him. He said he could too........with a can of clear spraypaint. What a shame....he should know a little better...

Chris, Awesome Job! Paint looks excellent! And i must say that I could eat off those wheel wells. With work like that business should be rolling in!

Thanks Greg.
"Should be" and "are", are 2 different things for me right now.....LOL

Not sure what your neighbor is thinking having you right next door. I have come to realize that most people just dont care. As a detailer, im sure that bugs the hell out of you

Very nice truck, and excellent work as usual, TexasTB!

. . . Chris

OK, it took me a little looking, but now I can see where you stopped short- one more teensy step - get your helper to clean the step-rail!! The rest of the truck looks so great - that stands out to me:( Oh, the woes of being a perfectionist, eh?

Seriously, I park next to one @ work & his NEVER looks anywhere near as nice as yours & he doesn't have kids!! Great Job & I'm sure it will be good advertising!

Just curious, why did you use EX instead of EX-P as your sealant?

That is true! I seen a guy vacuuming his floor mats that were sitting on the trunk of his car.
I watched someone washing his SUV at the apartment carwash this weekend. After drying he gets this red bottle out and spreads some on the hood, walks to the back and gets an old, ripped up towel and proceeds to spread said product around....everywhere....trim...just everywhere. After a couple of minutes of this, he flips the bottle and reads the instructions:rolleyes:. he then just continues wiping! I chuckle and my wife asks why I am laughing, I tell her and she says, much to my surprise (she's not into cars), 'well, we'll see how long his clearcoat lasts'.

:D :D

As far as using EX or EX-P, I have a tiny bit of EX left in one bottle, so I wanted to use it up first. Other than that, I woulda put on EX-P
