Pakshak WW vs the Guzzler WW

I can't decide between these two.. i'm figuring I well spend around $50 after shipping which is kinda lame for 2 WW's and 2-3 wash mitts.

MICROPAK 16" x 27" Waffle Weave Micro Fiber Towel

MICROPAK 16" x 27" Ultra-Soft Waffle Weave Micro Fiber Towel

between these two i'm not sure. which is better? i know one is thinner

Or

The Guzzler Combo Kit

the nice thing about autogeek is they have the square sheepskin wash mitts 3/$15. my total still comes to $50 with the guzzler combo and the 3 mitts though after coupon.

I could also order 3 the shipskeen wash mitts seperately at around $21 from autogeek and one of each of the above pakshaks is $28 shipped so i still come in right at $50. Not sure which is the better way to go. Or maybe there are newer better drying mf/ww out there i'm not seeing? let me know what you think.

2000firebird- I'd get the *softest* WWMFs you can. I don't know from the Guzzler, but I'm completely satisfied with the PakShak Ultra-soft.

Yeah I believe i originally had the pakshaks. They lasted me a good 3-4 years and they still work but they are very hard to the touch now probably worse than cotton towels.

The problem with pakshak is I spend $40 just to get two 25x36''s shipped to me. unless i go with the small ones. with autogeek I can try the guzzlers and get the 3 wash pads i wanted for only another $10. I'm sure either one is going to be an improvement over what i'm using, but if one is actually inferior to the other i'll pay a little more.

Pakshak's for me. Haven't used the guzzler but when I started searching for a new towel supplier a few years ago the report was that the guzzler was prone to lint.

That many years is a pretty good run for a drying towel, don't you think? WWMFs do have a somewhat limited working-life.

In your case, I can't help but wonder how some high-temp washes, with no detergent, might work. I've softened up/revitalized my WWs with that approach, and others have even boiled 'em with good results.

My oldest PakShak WWs don't work as well as they used to, but they sure aren't too stiff to use, can't remember them *ever* being like that...it's my cotton towels that eventually get that way.
