I couldn't resist trying out the MF towels offered by www.pakshak.com

I placed an order on Friday, and paid via Paypal. My towels arrived via US Priority Mail today. The towels were packaged in plastic baggies, either two or three per bag, and each bag was sealed with a pakshak label. There was also a care and instruction sheet with each package, and a handfull of business cards included. A nice touch. My order consisted of 5 16x16" dark green towels, 5 16x16" light blue towels, and one 24x24" mint green towel. Total cost delivered $28.49.

These towels are very nice! They are the acceptible 70/30 blend. I still have to give the nod to my YoSteve.com towels for plushness, but only by a very slim margin.

Can you spot the YoSteve towel in these photos?

The next photo shows both the back and front side of a towel.

There was something noteworthy missing from these new towels:

I'll give you a hint... I did not cut anything off of the towel! The surging is good quality, and I cannot wait to get some good use out of these towels.

Sam... I agree, great photo work. However, please don't post pics larger than 640 by 480. It distorts the whole forum and many people still have 56kb (or less) connections to the internet. Please crop your pics and edit your post.

Thanks!

Actually the ten 16x16" were 19.99, and I was given a break on the 24x24". It was a great deal, and Ranney is great to work with!

Nice review, IMO, these are the BEST MF towels out there right now. I prefer the 70/30 blend due to the better water absorption properties than 80/20's. Why do I want better water absorption? It dries the car and windows without leaving water trails. Try spraying water on a mirror and then wiping with a 70/30 like Pak Shak, now try it with a 80/20, for me it's a no brainer, 70/30's are better as far as wickability. :up

No tags!!!????!!! Wow!! That sells me! I've destroyed the edges of a couple of my MFs wrestling to get those crazy tags off!

Looks like the prices are good, too! Thanks for the review! :xyxthumbs

I just looked at the prices on their web site, and they didn't seem to match up with what you paid (looked to be almost double). Did you order through ebay, or some special method? The 10 16X16 towels looks like it would be 42.50 alone. Maybe I'm looking at the wrong price page?

I noticed this, too -- the Ebay prices seem good - 10 16x16 for $19.99 -- did you order from Ebay or directly?

I was going to place a bid on ebay, but I wanted to include a 24x24" towel too. I sent Ranney an email, and he responded with the total above. Basically I got the 10 towels for $19.99, and I think the 24x24" was $3.50. With shipping and all, it came to the total in my original post. Our transaction was completed outside of ebay.

You have a choice of dark green or light blue on the 16x16" and the 24x24" comes in mint green only. I was able to pick and choose my color combos, and I purchased 5 of each color.

I just ordered my towels from Ranney yesterday, and I can't wait to get them. He shipped them out the same day and gave me the same price as you guys. Call him guys, he is GREAT to work with. Very friendly and QUITE concerned about your satisfaction. I gave him 2 e-mail addresses because I wasn't sure if one of them was working, he e-mailed me at both addresses twice after I ordered first to ask me, and second time to tell me that he didn't have the 24"x24" in blue. He wanted to make sure the color was okay! I wish more people would have his ethic of customer satisfaction.

He is also a member of this forum, he says he doesn't post much because he doesn't believe in plugging his product that way. But I am always happy to support a fellow autopian. Can't wait to join the world of MF detailing! :D

Been lurking around and reading hundreds of posts. Love the site and just had to jump in. I would like to contact Ranney and order some MF towels as well. How do I get this 10 16"x16" towels for $19.99 deal? I need more MF towels. Also, how do these waffle weave towels compare to the Big Blue towel. I ordered 2 of those and they are the best things I have ever found since ice cream.

I got my order from Pakshak in only 4 days. Pretty fast since they went from Hawaii to Virginia.

I used one of the 24x24 to dry my truck. It did great. I was very impressed. Before, I had used a CWB and an Absorber. The MF was better then the Absorber by a long shot.

Next, I reapplied some AIO and SGx2. I used one towel with some EO QD and then a dry towel, to buff off the the SG. It was wonderful.

As it has been said in other posts, these towels are very plush. I could only tell a slight difference between the blue PakShaks and my CMA Miracle towel.

Ranney- Thanks again for a quality product and wonderful customer service.---------------------------ADAM

Just ordered 20- 24"x24" from Ranney , GREAT guy to talk to.I have no doubts in quality of the towels.:) :) :)

I agree with all the above. I ordered some towels from Ranney about a month ago, and I'm completely satisfied.

The towels are very plush, and very good quality. The service is great, and Ranney is a great guy to do business with.

And those 24" X 24" towels are super. I can QD my truck with one towel and the 16" X 16" towels are just what I like to buff off the Souveran.

We now have another distributor to select from. I now have MF towels from 7 different distributors, and I have a feeling that the list is gonna' keep growing. Enjoy!

BGL,

Do you feel like posting the list of all the MF Towels that you've used that includes the size and price , along with your opinion of each?

This is kind of an "info overload" for some of us nebbies. i need all the help that I can get getting up to speed on what people like.

Thanks!

I've purchased 10- 16x16" MF towels from PakShak and I'm just waiting for them to arrive. Dealing with Ranney was very easy and the service was excellent.

:up :up to PakShak!

Aloha fellow Autopians,

Thank you for your kind words and support. I am happy that you like your micro fiber towels. But, really I have to thank each and everyone of you here on Autopia for being so kind and being generous with your helpful tips. You all have really showed me that a little kindness can go a long way. It is just my way of repaying you back for all your "kokua". That means "help" in Hawaii. It is much appreciated.

Aloha and  hui hou! (= "good bye for now and until we meet again")

~Ranney

I followed everybody's lead, and just ordered 10 16x16 plus 1 24x24 Pakshak towels from Ranney. I was slightly disappoined in the way my neatitems towels exhibited some minor fraying around the serged edges...Not a major problem, but that, combined with the higher prices (than Pak) prompted me to try something else...My Pakshak towels should show up in a couple of days....Even with the fact that neatitems doesnt charge for shipping, and Pakshak did charge 9 bucks to my house, the net price is still quite a bit less than neatitems. Now, if the quality is as good as everybody says, and I have certainly no reason to doubt it, then the choice is a nobrainer.
