2006 and 2011 BMW 650 convertibles. I've been taking care of the 2006 since he had me correct it in the spring of 2008. And since then, he's kept it in amazing condition. Never need to do more than 1 light polishing step and seal it. He recently picked up another BMW 650 and wanted both cleaned up. Its finally warmed up here after a long stretch of below normal high temperatures. Perfect now for top down driving.
The 2006 was in excellent shape as expected, the 2011 had really deep swirling, marring and RIDS (random isolated deep scratches). The owner bought it lightly used, previous owner probably used a brush on it. Paint was freakishly hard too so it took some effort to mess it up as bad as they did. Being a white car and not expecting it to need a full on correction, we did two steps this time (which made a tremendous difference) and he said he'd have me out in 6 months to do it again-maybe a full correction, which now won't take nearly as long.
2006:
ONR wash, Opti-Raser pink (mild) to clay
Optimum Hyper Polish using an Optimum MF cutting pad and my Meguiars G110 v2 DA polisher
Optimum Opti-Seal
ONR wash and wax at 32:1 to clean glass
Armor All on tires/fenderwells
3D Trim Protectant on the plastic around the convertible top/trunk area
The owner's driveway is pretty short and we were about 60 minutes from having the whole drive in the sun, so a little shade on the front end of both.
5 years since a full correction via rotary, I'd say its holding up well! The light pitting you may notice has always been there.
2011:
Before-looked worse in person, hard to pick the swirls up on white paint
Meguiars #105 using a 6.5" white foamed wool pad (believe its made by American Buffing) using my G110 v2
Paint was so hard I wasn't getting any hazing from this combination.
The car isn't completely swirl free, the trunk was by far the worst part of the car, 3 full passes with #105/wool to knock out about 80% of the defects. But now you have to get right up on the paint to really see anything. Its gone from a 20' car to a 2' car.
