Hey all,
Not really sure where to post this, i figure this would be the best section...
I'm wanting to keep my stock paint, but paint a design over the stock paint...
i plan on masking the design off the rattle-canning the paint on.
Question is, after you paint over your stock paint... you will be able to feel the raised edge of the new paint, correct?
If you take 3000 grit sandpaper and wetsand the new paint and the edging and a secion of the stock paint... will it all flatten out?
Or, can you mask off everything but the design... spray Aircraft Paint remover onto the exposed stock paint... remove paint and residue... and paint the bare metal... then once finished remove the mashing tape and wetsand to smooth everything?
Teach me o'wise paint guru's!
