Paint type to use for touch up on wiper arms

I have a few rock chips on my driver side wiper arm that i want to get rid of. I checked with my dealership and they don't carry any touch up paint for the black wiper arms.

My wiper arms are sort of a semi-mat finish. I'm wondering has anyone found a paint type either urethane or other that is made for wiper arms. Are they many variant in paint color as it looks to me that Nissan, Toyota and GM wiper arms are the same color? It is fair to assume these are single stage paints?

Reason i ask is i would rather get a small touch up bottle instead of a quart at CMAX (NAPA).

For a few minor chips, you could just use flat black model paint (very cheap/easy method). If you wanted to remove the whole arm, there are numerous sprays available. I've use Rustoleum Satin Black on a few items, and I really like it's look: not glossy. not flat.

I don't know of any specific wiper arm paint.

I do this as well. Just find a can of spray paint and take care of it. You can either remove them or prep the area with news paper. The Sharpie idea also works very well for small nicks. I don't think I have ever heard of a "wiper blade specific paint".

Model paint. ..why didn't i think of that....thanks. Funny thing is that one of my hobbies is model planes and i have a ton of that stuff right under my nose and honestly it never cross my mind....:tumblewee Call it a senior moment....

A few people also mentioned using Rustoleum or Termclad paint but i was affraid it would not match. I guess i'll have to try and see.

3Dog - I did think about the Sharpie..actually thats how i fix the paint chips on my stapler at work :D

If you put a clearbra on the stapler, the paint chips shouldn't happen anymore! :lol

Actually, that's a good idea. Err. Using a sharpie to keep the stapler looking good!
