Swirls?!?! NNOOOOOOO!!!!!
So... I recently had the "opportunity" to remove dried paint from carpet. (Don't know if it was latex or alkyd). I used a product called "Winning Colours Paint and Stain Remover." (Yes, there is supposed to be a "u" in "Colours.")
Made in Canada as well as the USA. Smells like bananas. Enviro-friendly/sensitive/etc.
Foams a fair bit. Lots of scrubbing (by hand with a brush). Lots of rinsing.
Main point, though, is that it did in fact soften/loosen/emulsify/whatever dried paint and cleaned up a carpet that would likely have had to have been replaced otherwise. I went through about 2 quarts to clean up around 6 square feet of painted carpeting.
Just a bit of info for those of you that may have need of such knowledge for your own livelihood. :rockon
