Paint Problem

What do you think is happening to the paint in these pic's? I am having a similar problem on my hood and roof. The damn car is an 05'? These are not pictures of my hood. I couldn't get a good enough shot with my digital camera, but these are what the problems on my hood pretty much look like, but not as extreme yet.

That looks like the paint on my dad's S-10. He uses it to drive to work in and drive around in the woods and such. It looks exactly like what you have posted there. I am assuming that it is some sort of paint failure, but I am not 100 % sure. I know it can't be buffed or wetsanded out of my father's truck. It's underneath the clear coat it seems.

It looks liek your car is catching something. Is there a vaccine?!? SORRY but I've never in my life have seen anything like that.
 
Do you think that is somthing that is caused by human error. I mean I baby my car so I can't imagine what would casue that . I only ever used Poorboy's and Meguiar's on my finish. Its just getting worse and worse. I brought it to the dealership here and the manager basically blew me off, Took some pictures said he would submit them and let me know. He never did. So now i'm gonna try and take it to the dealership were I got the car and see what they say. This is bullxxxx they better not turn me away.
 
Another way for that kind of damage to occur would be if it was egged. The shell can cause damage like that. I've seen bird bombs cause stuff like that too. Since you say it is on the top of your car then it is very likely to have been caused by birds. At any rate, it is either going to be a warranty claim or an insurance claim. I've never seen paint do that without being caused by something, so my guess is that it isn't a warranty issue. On new paint something would have had to hit it to cause that. On old paint it happens all the time. It takes several years before you start to see that kind of damage though.
 
I've seen that lots, especially in cold areas, but never on a newer car.
In other cases, we tried everything. Ultimately the "crowfeet" as we called it was determined to be the cracking of the primer, or at least that is what a body guy said when he broke it down.
 
I know this thread is nearly a month old but has anyone found any more information on this? I too have this on my 2002 Ford Explorer

 
That looks like clearcote failure to me as well. If this is a 05 then it looks as though you will be getting your car repainted for free. I would not let them spot repair this as it is most likely going to happen to the entire car at some point. Something got mixed wrong and the clear probably cured to fast.

I'm worried about the absolute aggrivation i'm gonna have if they tell me well this could have been caused by somthing I did which I know is wrong, but you see my point. I'm a compulsive detailer but damn.
