I'm just wondering if there is any real difference between the various paint prep. products sold out there, like PrepSol, Acrysol, and Griot's Paint Prep. These products are supposed to remove old waxes, oils, and sealants so you can start a fresh detail with completely product-free paint.
I'm thinking of getting one of them, probably either the 1Z Acrysol or Griot's product. Has anyone used them with good results?
Also, I've read where a lot of you just do a 50/50 Isopropyl Alcohol/water rubdown. Is this method just as effective at removing waxes and sealants? It certainly is much cheaper.
Thanks for your help!
